Job Duties
Microsoft Corporation has the following job opportunity:
Responsible for developing or testing computer software applications, systems or services. Conduct research and lead research collaborations that yield new insights, theories, and analyses. Evaluate data, algorithms, and prototypes that advance state-of-the-art technology. Develop reports, dashboards, tabular models and analytical insights to drive business success. Produce business intelligence (BI) information by querying data repositories and generating periodic reports. Devise methods for identifying data patterns and trends in available information sources. Design and build BI solutions that improve Microsoft products. Analyze data using a variety of tools and data analysis techniques. Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders. Document and share best practices for BI and reporting, and implement key performance indicators (KPIs) to track the impact of Microsoft products. Telecommuting permitted less than 50%/week within same geographic location as assigned Microsoft office location.
Minimum Requirements
- Education: Master's or foreign equivalent in Computer Science; Information Technology; Software Engineering; Computer Systems; Mathematics; Data Science; Business Intelligence; or related tech or quantitative field.
- Experience: 12 months of experience in any computer related occupation.
- Education or Experience in: Big Data, Big data modeling and analysis; PowerBI; Azure Data Factory; C#; Data Mining and Analyzing and Visualizing Data.

Pay Range and Benefits Information
The offered base pay range for this specific position (V9225024.a), in Redmond, WA, is $144,855 to $174,855 per year.
Microsoft has different base pay ranges for different work locations within the United States, which allows us to pay employees competitively and consistently in different geographic markets. Individual base pay depends on various factors, in addition to primary work location, such as complexity and responsibility of role, job duties/requirements, and relevant experience and skills. Base pay ranges are reviewed and typically updated each year. Offers are made within the base pay range applicable at the time.
At Microsoft certain roles are eligible for additional rewards, including merit increases, annual bonus, and stock. These awards are allocated based on individual performance. In addition, certain roles also have the opportunity to earn sales incentives based on revenue or utilization, depending on the terms of the plan and the employee's role.
