Job Summary
As a Mid Data Engineer (20181), you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality software solutions. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into scalable and efficient software applications. Your role will involve leading technical projects, mentoring junior engineers, and continuously improving software development practices to ensure the delivery of robust and reliable software systems.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support the migration of data from Snowflake on AWS to Azure Databricks and DBT
- Develop and maintain data pipelines and transformations to ensure reliable data processing during and after migration
- Implement and manage infrastructure as code using Terraform to support cloud data platforms and integrations
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to cloud infrastructure, data pipelines, and platform integrations while maintaining proper documentation
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
- 5+ years of experience in data engineering working with modern cloud data platforms
- Hands-on experience with Snowflake, Azure Databricks, and DBT in production environments
- Strong experience implementing infrastructure as code using Terraform
- Experience supporting cloud-to-cloud data migration projects and platform integrations
- Strong proficiency in SQL, data modeling, and ETL or ELT data pipeline development
- Experience working with CI/CD workflows and Git-based version control systems
- Familiarity with data governance concepts such as cataloging, lineage, monitoring, and data quality practices
- Exposure to streaming data technologies such as Kafka, Event Hubs, or Delta Live Tables
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills in collaborative technical environments
