We move fast, care hard, and fight for independent restaurant operators to do what they love, and love doing it. If you’re looking to make an impact with heart and hustle, SpotOn is the place for you.

As a Software Engineer on our Data and Reporting team, you'll work across the full stack to build and improve the reporting experience that helps restaurant operators understand and grow their business. You'll contribute to both the frontend dashboards merchants interact with daily and the backend services and APIs that power them — shipping features end-to-end with real ownership and real impact.

On a daily basis you will:

  • Build and maintain full-stack features across our merchant-facing reporting platform, from React components to Python and Go backend services.

  • Develop and integrate RESTful APIs that connect frontend reporting experiences to underlying data systems.

  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, and senior engineers to define requirements and deliver polished, user-facing experiences.

  • Participate in code reviews, contribute to engineering best practices, and continue growing your technical skills with support from senior teammates.

  • Debug and resolve issues across the stack, taking ownership of quality and reliability for the features you build.

What skills are we looking for?

  • 2–4 years of professional software engineering experience.

  • Solid proficiency with Python or Go for backend development, including building or consuming RESTful APIs.

  • Experience in React and modern JavaScript/TypeScript for building responsive, maintainable frontend applications.

  • Working knowledge of relational databases, particularly PostgreSQL, including writing and optimizing SQL queries.

  • Familiarity with software development best practices including version control, code review, and CI/CD workflows.

  • Strong communication skills and comfort collaborating across engineering, product, and design.

  • Willing to come into our Kraków or Gdańsk office 2–3 times per week.

Perfect candidate also has:

  • Experience building reporting interfaces, dashboards, or data-heavy applications.

  • Familiarity with data visualization libraries such as Recharts, D3, or Chart.js.

  • Exposure to ClickHouse or other analytical data stores.

  • Background or interest in the restaurant or hospitality technology sector.

Here’s a bit about what we have to offer:

  • Competitive pay: 14 000 - 17 500 PLN net on B2B.

  • Training budget 3500 PLN gross per year.

  • Access to e-learning platforms (O’Reilly).

  • Fully paid private healthcare in LuxMed.

  • Access to the Worksmile platform with a monthly top-up.

  • Subsidized access to breakfast and lunch through the vending machine in Kraków office, and lunches in Gdańsk office once a week.

  • Group English classes with a native speaker.

  • New Macbook Pro, 4K monitors or whatever tools you need.

  • Flexible working hours.

  • New, modern, bright and comfortable office space in the city centre.

  • A lot of free parking spots around the office.

  • Access to the company’s library.

  • Great working atmosphere.

  • Chill out room with a PlayStation and games.

  • Free snacks and beverages in a kitchen.

  • Company parties and social activities.

  • Employee referral program.

  • Relocation Package within Poland.
