Your Role

  • Collaborate with data sourcing and architecture teams to build and enhance our data publishing infrastructure, contributing to the evolution of existing and future products

  • Build and maintain scalable data pipelines that support Statista's content management and production processes

  • Develop reliable data orchestration workflows to ensure consistent, automated publishing processes for our content teams

  • Analyze established processes across content and data teams to identify and propose opportunities for optimization and automation

  • Contribute to monitoring and optimization efforts of our data infrastructure to maintain high availability, performance, and security

  • Stay current with developments in AI & Automation to assess and recommend relevant upgrades to our services and tools

  • Mentor junior team members and contribute to architectural decisions that shape the evolution of our data infrastructure

 

Your Profile

  • 3+ years of experience developing ETL processes and data automation workflows using Python

  • Working proficiency in workflow orchestration, containerization, and version control tools (e.g., Apache Airflow, Docker, git)

  • Strong SQL skills for data manipulation, querying, and optimization

  • Good understanding of data modeling and architecture principles, with an interest in learning and applying best practices

  • Hands-on experience with cloud services and infrastructure (e.g., AWS: ECS, EC2, RDS); familiarity with Infrastructure-as-Code concepts is a plus

  • Excellent spoken and written English skills
